I returned from the ritual with the divine relic, the Lance of the Dragon God. But my village was attacked by a human...
Those brothers had evacuated the villagers while I was away, and I returned to find everyone safe, thanks to them.
In the end, I decided that while we could not give up the lance, that I would instead go with them to meet their lord, bringing the lance with me.
